Service Description
New Knowledge Sessions These sessions offer a client organization a way to gain rapid understanding of recent research on self-organizing work groups in business and school environments. Sessions may be as short as 90 minutes or up to 5 days. Sessions may involve presentations of research and experience to an interested group, informal discussion facilitation with small groups of organizational leaders, and co-facilitation of informal discussions with larger groups of employees, managers, and executives to jumpstart a larger internal discussion.
Project Consulting Project consulting offers you a way to harness our specific qualities and use our expertise to support development and/or implementation of internal plans. Examples of project consulting:
  • Assessing a group’s state and providing ideas to a group attempting a state change
  • Investigating a client organization’s unique blockers to fostering and sustaining self-organizing work groups. Reporting on the problem(s), the nature of the blocking issue(s), and providing a list of options for remedial action.
Group Coaching Sessions Sometimes all you need is brief time with an expert perspective. As a coach we can, for example, brainstorm with you, ask questions from another perspective, offer ideas from other groups and organizations, share our own experience making self-organizing work groups work, provide pointers to additional resources, and offer encouragement and validation. Group coaching provides a way to bring in a consultant for a short period. Coaching sessions can vary from a one-time, 1-hour session to several 1-hour sessions over the course of a few weeks or months.
Research Collective Self LLC always wants to learn more about self-organizing work groups in organizations. Client organizations may contain groups we would like to study. If this happens, we may propose to trade some of our services for research support and access. Client organizations are also welcome to propose this trade.
